Trying to cross of some of the many, many bookmarks I have – Now I can say I’ve finally tried El Paso Taco Grill. Verdict: Newsday got it right – these tacos are pretty legit.
Been here two more times in the last month. Picked up two dozen empanadas for Super Bowl. They were outstanding and everybody loved them.
And the winner is… AL PASTOR (grilled seasoned pork). My goodness it’ll take you to flavor town. In second place is the pollo, followed by carne asada. I only tried those three meats for their tacos. I ended up ordering extra al pastor tacos. Can’t beat the prices – $6 or $7 for three tacos! They were that good. The soft corn tortilla filled tacos didn’t even need cheese or any extra fancy schmancy sauces because the meat and the simplicity of the lemon and cilantro hits the spot. The fresh radishes add a crunch for texture and slight bitterness. If you dare, I heard the red hot sauce can make even the bravest tear up.
If you’re looking for good tacos, then you found the place. Each order comes with three and it’s more than enough to fill me. Flavorful and hand crafted, I don’t think I’ve ever had a taco that delicious. Be mindful of the two hot sauces they come with, one is green, and the other is orange-red. Both of these have a kick. Overall It was a wonderful experience. If your in town, or close by, you have to give this place a try.
Hola Hola!! Finally got a chance to try this place today and man oh man was it delish!! I had to try some pupusa and empanadas and they were amazing!! Next up was the tasty and authentic chicken tamales with and order of fried plantains to keep it real up in the feel!!! Seriously folks if you want the real deal and want to get your mouth to watering don’t be pollo and head over to the El Paso Taco Grill.
I have had Mexican food from a lot of good places, and believe me this is as legit as it gets. One of the best tacos I tasted on Long Island. The folks working in the kitchen are Mexicans who seem to know what they are cooking and it shows. Your taste buds will take you on a joy ride that will force you to come back and have some more of that yummy goodness.
